Mobile Monday Adelaide – 20th June – Chronica

MEGA - Mobile Enterprise Growth Alliance

MEGA invites you to Mobile Monday in Adelaide

Come and join us on Monday 20th June, 2011 from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at The Brunswick Hotel, 207 Gilbert St, Adelaide SA 5000.

Chronica, a comprehensive pain management application for the iOS platform, recently launched in April 2011 and the inventors of the application have an exciting story to share about its origin, development and path to commercialization.  Gianna Grbich and Chris Drabsch will discuss the process of how the app came to be – from developing the idea in the MEGA 2008 workshop, through to winning awards, media attention and grant offers, and working with local developers 2moro Mobile to craft the finished product for release on the App Store. They will also discuss the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for Chronica, and Derek Munneke from 2moro Mobile will appear to discuss the technical aspects behind building Chronica.

Recording Pain Levels with Chronica

About Chris and Gianna:

Gianna and Chris’s relationship is both professional and personal – after meeting as students at UniSA & starting a relationship in 2003, Chris and Gianna made their career as graphic designers – they both established a design studio, Daydream Graphics, which they have operated as a full-time business since 2008. Gianna brings her skills as a photographer, illustrator and print designer to Daydream, while Chris brings his specialist skills in web design, typography and branding, which he gained from previous years of experience serving as Graphic Designer for m.Net Corporation.

Although Daydream gave Gianna and Chris the business experience and skills necessary to venture into Chronica, the application itself was born out of a personal need that Gianna has had for pain management. Gianna has herself lived with chronic pain for 5 years, and has struggled with inconsistent methods and techniques used to measure pain levels today. Her personal experience has helped to shape the application to ensure it suits the needs of 1 in 5 people living with chronic pain around the world, who can utilize Chronica to have a better understanding of their pain condition.

About Chronica:

Chronica is an award-winning pain management application for the iOS platform, allowing the user to record their pain levels, collect information about their medications, treatments, and other influences to their pain, and compare this data using a powerful charting system to determine their pain triggers and influences while sharing this information easily with others. The application is managed and developed in Adelaide, South Australia, and is currently retailing for iPhone and iPad devices via the App Store. More information about Chronica can be found at www.chronica.biz.

MoMovember – Join the Adelaide Team

The Inaugural

State of MOrigin

Pride is at stake as the order of the MoMo logos for the next 12 months will be dictated by the chapters that raises the most money!

This November, Australia’s Mobile Industry is doing MOvember!!

Super MoMo Mascot

Each Movember we challenge men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The moustache is our ribbon, the means by which we raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer and depression in men programs. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, our commitment is to grow a moustache for 30 days. Funds are committed to our men’s health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and beyondblue: the national depression initiative and the Movember Foundation. Together, the three channels work to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world class programs in the fields of research, education, support, and awareness.

Help Adelaide maintain it’s position at the front of the Australian Mobile Monday list by joining the MoMovember Adelaide Team

Join as a MoBro (A guy who wants to grow a Mo for men’s health), or MoSista (A girl who loves the Mo and wants to support the cause; or if you are Mo-challenged); and get everyone you know to Donate to help raise vital funds for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and depression in men. And if that is not enough, Samsung has donated a Samsung Wave the highest MoMovember individual fundraiser, and as a team our fund raising will dictate our place on the National MoMo website.

MoMo Adelaide – October 2010 – Dynamic Red present BodyGuardz

MEGA - Mobile Enterprise Growth Alliance

MEGA invites you to Mobile Monday in Adelaide

Come and join us on Monday 18th October, 2010 from 6pm to 8pm at The Brunswick Hotel, 207 Gilbert St, Adelaide SA 5000.

Paul Mapp, managing director of Dynamic Red will present an award winning product that can increase the Return On Investment (ROI) for large organisations, government and educational institutions by protecting mobile devices and extending their lifetime.

The product is called “BodyGuardz” and is a custom cut scratch-proof transparent clear protective skin that is custom designed to suit iPods, iPads, iPhones, mobile phones, notebooks, GPS devices and other electronic gadgets. The material can cover a screen or the entire device, front back & sides. It retains the look of the device while making it incredibly scratch resistant.

The product won the iLounge iPhone and iPod product of the year competing against 1,500 other products and recently won the ZDNet mobile accessory of the year.

Future plans for the product are to have it sold unbranded and unpackaged to companies with large fleets of mobile phones and for use in the government and education sector. The potential cost savings are huge due to the protection aspect where the life of devices can be extended and the end of life resale value is increased as the product can be removed and the device will appear as new.

The material is so tough that it can withstand temperatures of -35C to 125C, salt spray, UV etc and is guaranteed for the lifetime of a product. It is currently being tested for use in the solar industry.

Samples for Apple products will be given away on the night so we hope to see you there!

In the picture below you can hardly tell that the product is on. If you look closely at the camera you can see how the product is cut around the hole.

It should be a great evening so please come along and remember to bring your business cards.
