8th MobileMonday Taipei - Mobile Marketing

Dear Mobile People in Taipei,

This month’s MobileMonday Taipei event, we will talk about Mobile Marketing. Today online Marketing is taking over traditional marketing but still suffers from the lack of good metrics and measurement. At the same time, mobile marketing growing is promising thrilling opportunities to reach the customer even more direct and personalized. And it is an attractive option if you look how the cell phone is used and present all the time - no need to emphasize on that.

According to a survey conducted by a mobile marketing provider, approximately 89% of major brands are planning to market their products through text and multimedia mobile messaging by 2008. One-third of them are planning to spend about 10% of marketing budgets through mobile marketing. Also, in about 5 years over half of brands are expected to spend between 5% and 25% of their total marketing budget on their mobile marketing. Already, 40% of the firms that responded have implemented this feature for their audiences.

we have invited Ms. Rio Kao, Director, Interactive Marketing Div., AP-Mobile, to share with us their experience in mobile marketing and also to showcase a new “voice search” application for mobile marketing. And Ms. Tina Su, Deputy Manager of Marketing Div., Taiwan Fixed Network (previously the Enterprise Solution department of Taiwan Mobile), to share her experience and thoughts on mobile marketing.
