First MobileMonday Tapei Event

We are pleased to announce the launching event of MobileMonday Taipei - taking place on Monday, June 4th.

The theme for the first meeting will focus on WiMAX, as 2007 is set to ignite the much debated WiMAX offerings. In Taiwan, the WiMAX spectrum and licensing process has entered an intensive stage, with the first license expected to be issued in July 2007. It is worth noting that Portable WiMAX also has the abilities of Fixed WiMAX and the advantage of a lower frequency. It also has the support from Nokia, Motorola, and numerous other large manufacturers; consequently, an anticipatable bright future.

The advantages of Taiwan’s comprehensive ICT industry supply chain, flexible production, cost management, and high-quality manpower have encouraged Taiwanese manufacturers to invest in the emerging field of wireless broadband technologies. It is to be expected that new application standards will continue to drive the fast-growing wireless broadband market to shape enormous business opportunities.

We have invited some of the key players in the WiMAX market to speak at the event, where they will be sharing their thought and present the technology from different angles. You are invited to participate in the discussion and engage with the speakers directly during the evening.
