Continueing relationship Akumiitti delivers mms-content service to Orange UK
Akumiitti, a Finnish mobile entertainment solution provider will extend its ESC platform it delivered to Orange UK last year. The new multimedia service extention has a capability to reach Orange’s 13.3million UK subscriber base.
Akumiitti’s Entertainment Service Centre (ESC) gives Orange subscribers the facility to download, send, receive and create multimedia content such as audio clips, animations, and polyphonic ringtones through a simple user friendly menu. Subscribers also have the opportunity to create and manage their own personal content galleries.
Key to the service is the breadth of content available, particularly as the Akumiitti ESC platform supports such a variety of content types. With this in mind, Akumiitti’s COSMO content service team has worked very closely with Orange to devise an appealing library of content ranging from standard monophonic tones to color animations and polyphonic tones. The result is an extensive collection of fun content updated regularly which is specifically designed to enhance user experience and increase subscriber loyalty.
Fergus Lynch, Category manager Entertainment at Orange comments: "Orange is currently researching and developing a range innovative mobile music services. The provision of Akumiitti's ESC will offer the customer one of the most original value added services of its kind and is the beginning of the evolution towards our vision for future music products and services."
