What’s going on in the city right now? Buzzd locates new content partners

Buzzd, a location-sensitive mobile city guide has announced new content partnerships that aim to bring the city to your fingertips now including everything you need to eat, play or meet friends in cities. Buzzd has inked deals with AEG Live, Zagat Survey, and Upcoming, and now has over 1.7 million listings on its service accessible to anyone with an Internet capable cellphone. 
 
 AEG Live, a subsidiary of Anschutz Entertainment Group, is one of the leading providers of live entertainment and sports in the world. Goldenvoice, the company's Southern California-based regional division, hosts the most critically acclaimed music festivals in the U.S. Goldenvoice created and operates the award winning annual Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival as well as Stagecoach: California's Country Music Festival. In addition, AEG Live, now co-produces both the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Bumbershoot: Seattle's Music & Arts Festival.

Buzzd, answers the question “What’s going on around me right now?” and delivers location-sensitive, event and venue information, along with up-to-the-minute reviews and ratings from friends and other members of the Buzzd community. 



Users can also browse and search continuously updated event feeds which include pricing, location and event details as well as the firsthand ratings and reviews posted from the venue by other members.

Events and locations are aggregated through Buzzd existing partnerships like ones with Citysearch, Flavorpill and TimeOut New York, and now from providers AEG Live, Zagat Survey, and Yahoo’s Upcoming. Additionally user-generated feedback (or “buzzes”) offers real-time activity surrounding venues and events and is aggregated at the top of event listings throughout the platform. 



“Getting these kinds of partnership deals really expands our reach,” said Nihal Mehta, CEO and Co-founder of Buzzd. “The Buzzd network, which currently has over 1.7 million listings, now has a stronger presence in cities between the coasts, such as Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Des Moines and all over the Midwest.”

In addition to their many content partnerships, Buzzd’s service is free to consumers and advertising supported by brands such as Jim Beam, Nokia and Bonnaroo, the world’s largest music and arts festival. Currently, Buzzd can also be accessed from any Internet-enabled cellphone or can be found as featured offerings on-deck with Virgin Mobile USA.
