MBusiness on Series 60 platform Celesta mobilizes safety company
The Spanish security services company, Grupo Ombuds starts using Celesta’s mBusiness solution on Nokia 3650 devices
The company is one of the leading providers of security and safety services in Spain. Grupo Ombuds’ customers include the Ministry of the Interior, the Basque Government, public administration and financial institutes. There will be a total of 1,000 users.
This is Celesta’s first major sale for the Nokia Series 60 Platform. The mBusiness solution is provided by Celesta’s Spanish distribution and integration partner, Andaira Technology S.L
“Celesta's solution combined with Andaira's expertise in integration and mobility is one of the best examples of how the actual mobile technology implemented in current Nokia phones can help to improve and optimize corporate processes. Series 60 platform, integrated into an affordable, widely available, Symbian-operated Nokia 3650, forms the basis for integrating mobility into many possible corporate processes, says Mr. Eduardo Fernandez, the Business Applications Manager of Nokia Spain.
Celesta’s mobile security and safety solution operating on Nokia 3650 devices is increasing the quality of customer service by improving communications and shortening the response times between the security specialists in the field and the agencies. The solution is also eliminating double data entries and decreasing errors as the reports from the field are sent directly to the back-office system
During November 2003 Grupo Ombuds is starting a pilot project with 50 users. The first rollout phase includes developing and testing the mBusiness solution and increasing the number of users up to 840. The plan is to carry out this first phase in two months. By the end of January 2004, the company expects to roll out the solution to an additional 160 users
