Digia releases
Finland-based Digia, designer and developer of Symbian OS based software for mobile phone manufacturers worldwide, introduced Digia ImagePlus – an application for enhancing, editing and adding graphical elements to images in Nokia 7650 smartphone.
Digia ImagePlus is an image editing and annotation tool for Nokia 7650 and other Series 60 smartphone. It provides a way to personalize images taken with Nokia 7650's in-built camera, received over MMS or any other medium. The application allows users to take snapshots, add annotations and share them with other MMS enabled devices —immediately, without using PC for image enhancements.
Features include adding cartoon text bubbles, text annotation, blurring, icons, and frames with various themes. Both professional and leisure elements are provided.
"Combining a digital camera and MMS technology is a remarkable step toward more consumer oriented and mass market driven smartphone. Digia ImagePlus is a true value-add application — users can now personalize images, on the spot, by using their own creativity with highlighting and annotation tools," says Kai Tulonen, chief technology officer, Digia Inc.
Digia ImagePlus is now commercially available at www.softwaremarket.nokia.com Software Market and several other online software stores.
