SIP-Based Windows Mobile 5.0 Dual-Mode Handset Hipi-2200 alternates between GSM and WLAN

Paragon Wireless has announced the launch of what it says is the world’s first SIP-based Windows mobile dual-mode handset. The hipi-2200 utilizes Paragon Wireless’ VoWLAN / GSM dual-mode voice technology, the hipi-2200 adds the Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system. The 1100mAh Li-ion battery provides up to 4 hours of talk time or 100 hours of standby time, with both GSM and WiFi radios simultaneously active. According to Ilkka Pouttu, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Paragon Wireless, “the hipi-2200 changes the way enterprises and individuals communicate with each other. Organizations can immediately measure their ROI, while workers can access all the information they need from one handset.”
