^{3 million 3G phone to 3} LG and Samsung find success in Hong Kong

Cell phones manufactured by LG electronics and Samsung Electronics have been selected as the most competitive products by the private Hong Kong Consumer Council. Mobile phones by LG Electronics were ranked first and second across all categories like camera function, message transmission, image quality and price, overwhelming rivals like Sony, Ericsson, Nokia and Panasonic, reported Hong Kong media. Samsung made phones took third and fourth places. The Hong Kong Consumer Council conducted function tests and satisfaction investigations on 38 models of cell phones. LG Electronics has supplied 3 million units of 3G cell phones to Hong Kong’s Hutchison Whampoa Group this year. Hutchison Telecom operates 3G operators around the world under the name 3. Managing director Lee Hyun-geun said that LG Electronics third generation cell phones have taken 90 percent of Hong Kong market.
