LocatioNet offers LBS for Ericsson TDMA networks
New York-based LocatioNet announced, that their LBS middleware platform and LBS interface to the Ericsson TDMA system were successfully tested recently for interoperability within Ericsson TDMA Systems, located in Montreal, Canada.
The LocatioNet middleware platform interfaces with Ericsson TDMA cell-based location interface enablers for delivery of Pull and Push location-based services in TDMA wireless markets, for consumer and corporate segments.
TDMA wireless operators are looking for solutions to accelerate the demand for additional airtime and data traffic to capitalize on their TDMA investments and remain competitive. TDMA will continue to serve a large wireless subscriber-base in the years to come, and will continue to evolve in the near future. The combined solution addresses the TDMA carrier needs.
The LocatioNet middleware integrates content, applications, position determination and GIS technologies to quickly fulfill user requests over a variety of mobile handsets. The platform also integrates with the operator's existing service network and billing.
