Over 1000 real mobile devices worldwide Mobile Complete introduces mobile test automation

California-based Mobile Complete, a provider of testing, monitoring, and support solutions, this week announced DeviceAnywhere Pro, which features fully automated mobile testing and scripting. With this service users are freed from the redundancies of manual testing and scripting.

Offered in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, DeviceAnywhere Pro leverages DeviceAnywhere’s publicly shared infrastructure of over 1000 mobile devices across the United States and Europe. It also offers developers access to real, physical handsets on live global networks, using just the Internet. As a result, reliability is never in question and the devices behave just as if users held them in their hands..

DeviceAnywhere’s Pro users can create test automation scripts in a variety of fashions, including a drag-and-drop interface, a record-and-playback mechanism – where all user interactions with a phone are recorded into a script – and a Java API – which enables advanced scripting as well as integration with other test management frameworks.

Users can schedule tests to take place at any time during the day or night – so they need not be present or manually enter and observe data. When errors occur in scripts, the problems are recorded and the scripts continue to run.

DeviceAnywhere Pro trials are currently available at http://www.deviceanywhere.com/da_pro/index.htm and the product will be generally available March 2008.
