Winner will be announced on May 9 MobileMonday Peer Award short list announced
Six Finnish mobile applications have been selected on short list of MobileMonday Peer Award. The winner will be announced in the MobileMonday Global Summit on May 9 in Wanha Satama, Helsinki.
“We had 37 nominations and it was a challenge to choose six short list candidates from a group of highly qualified candidates,” said Jari Tammisto, CEO MobileMonday Finland.
The winner will be selected by the members MobileMonday Advisory Board. The Award will be presented by Pekka Sivonen, the chairman of Sysopen Digia and also of MobileMonday Advisory Board.
“For the short list we were able to choose applications from various groups. They represent well Finnish mobile software environment,” Tammisto said. He emphasized that the winner will be selected by mobile professionals that have expertise to evaluate the innovativeness and significance of the applications.
The short list
Digia ImageExpo, Digia Sysopen application that demonstrates Symbian phone functions on computers screens or on wider screens.
Finnair SMS check-in, an application developed by Finnair, Aerosystems Oy, BookIT Ltd and Elisa Oyj.
Lahti dental appointment replacement SMS service, City of Lahti’s SMS applications that finds replacement patients for last minute cancellations. Developed by Quickclic Finland and Lahti Science and Enterprise Park IT-center.
Hantro H.264 Player, Hantro’s player for MPEG-4, H.263 or H.264 formatted mobile videos.
MobiiliRaksu, a mobile extension for the Finnish Cattle Improvement Cooperation’s evolution program. Developed by Pro Agria Maatalouden Laskentakeskus.
Mobile Enterprise Solution, Reslink Solution’s Server application platform and a Symbian based smart phone application integrated to a operative system. The solution uses mobile barcode scanner.
