Proximus introduces Mobile Internet in Belgium

Starting January 19, Proximus, Belgium's leading mobile operator, is giving its customers the possibility of testing Mobile Internet free of charge until 18 April 2002 and acquiring a GPRS mobile phone at an extremely advantageous price. Proximus is the first operator in Belgium to offer Internet via GPRS.

In July 2001, Proximus became the first mobile telephone operator in Belgium to introduce a comprehensive GPRS offer for business and residential subscribers. The launch of Mobile Internet will be accompanied by two exceptional promotional offers. Proximus will be giving customers who respond before 18 February the chance to test Mobile Internet free of charge until 18 April 2002. In addition, they will be able as from January 19th to acquire the GPRS PACK, an Ericsson T39m GPRS mobile telephone and a Bluetooth“ card, at a very interesting price.

Proximus is offering 20 MB of Mobile Internet for the sum of Euro 50 per month. For customers who make more intensive use of Mobile Internet, Euro 2.5 will be billed for each additional megabyte of data transfer. Each session is billed per KB, with a minimum of 10 KB per session.
