Locating of the device is based on the GSM network cells. The user has to teach the mobile phone the important locations like home, school, work, best friend, train station, church etc. Teaching is easy and doesn’t require any technical knowledge.. It can be done from Options->Learn location on the first tab Where? The application lets the user to create “events”, while at least one location is saved. Currently the application offers five types of events: alarm, profile switch, power off, change image and SMS Alarm can be set to go off when the mobile phone would approach or exit selected location. So using this application end user may sleep in the train to work, knowing that the phone alarm will go off exactly at the desired station, even if the train is running on time. Profile switching or power off might be activated when one enters a hospital or church area. By changing the screen image the user can personalize her phone to match a certain social setting that is tied to geographic location.
