Securitix plans printing service for hot spots Public WLAN creates printing needs
Securitix Corp. is rolling out its Hot-Spot-Printing service that offers wireless access to color laser printers at public WLANs. The Company offers the printers and installation to hot spot venues at no charge of the venue owner. It even offers to set up the WLAN for free. Only thing the location owner has to do is to acquire the wide bandwidth network connection. The company plans to make its money from users by charging 99 cents per printed page. For a share of the revenue, the venue owner collects the money and forwards the Securitix share to the company. The company also plans to provide laptop computers for rent at hot spots. According to 802.11 Planet Internet publication, pricing for the laptop rental is expected to range from about USD 20 to USD 30 per hour, however final prices have not yet been determined.Related News
