IRC-Galleria goes mobile Publishing tool mobilizes concert tickets
Three popular services mass media services get mobile extensions this month. Sendandsee announces that it has been actively involved in the development of new mobile services that bring photo gallery, concert tickets and sport content services to mobile devices. Sendandsee is the publisher of the world’s first mobile magazines and developer of mobiprint publisher, a mobile publishing toolkit IRC-Galleria adds a mobile angle to the service offering of the largest Internet-site in Finland. Menolippu mobiili opens a new marketing, sales, and customer service channel for Menolippu’s service offering that includes event and concert organization, promotion and ticket sales. Roc.mob is a mobile service for readers and users of ROC Media Group’s media assets in Finland and Sweden. ”Technology development only makes sense when the end result is a service that serves a purpose,” says Aape Pohjavirta, Sendandsee’s CEO and Founder, about the process that has lead to the implementation of new services. “We are currently in the process of developing and implementing different types of mobile services in many markets – it is therefore very important to us to go into production as fast as possible.” The now-announced three mobile services differ greatly from one another, showcasing the strength of the modularity of the mobiprint technology: The IRC-Galleria –solution is the optimization of the upload process of content created on mobile phones. It allows the user to shoot pictures, add comments to them and upload them to a predefined www-service with just three clicks. The launch success of this service will be very interesting to follow, as it takes on the trends of blogging and communities in a unique way. “If we were able to copy the success of the Internet-service to the mobile service, it should probably not take long until it is the biggest mobile data traffic generator in Finland” says Pohjavirta, with a wink of an eye. “Seriously, this is one of the first services where users play an active role in the content creation process – a trend followed with great interest by both publishers and mobile operators.” Menolippu mobiili –solution opens a new marketing, sales, and customer service channel for the different types of events organized by the Company. The service allows users to receive information on upcoming events and lets them order tickets through integrated customer service functionalities in the application. Mobile ticket sales -projects have mostly been very technology driven; Menolippu represents a totally different approach as it focuses on delivering information and transaction capabilities to the mobile users wherever and whenever requested. Roc.mob –solution combines user-generated content created by mobile users while exercising different types of extreme sports with the news created by ROC Media Group’s editorial staff into an exciting and truly mobile extreme sports service. A further functionality is the possibility to view short, xtreme sports videos produced by the ROC Media Group for their TV properties.Related News
