Enpirion closes USD 17 million series B funding Saving mobile power draws investment
Enpirion, Inc., a provider of integrated power solutions, has closed its second round of funding with a total of USD 17 million invested.
Enpirion is a private fabless semiconductor company pioneering integrated power technologies in the embedded DC-to-DC power conversion space.
RRE Ventures and Columbia Capital led the round with participation from new investor Intel Capital and the original Series A participants, Canaan Partners and SAS Investors, both participating pro-rata.
The investment will be used to ramp production, sales and marketing expansion, as well as future product development.
“We believe the near-term potential for power management products is substantial and growing very rapidly,” said Jim Robinson from RRE Ventures.
“As the world of electronics gets smaller, we believe there are great opportunities for Enpirion to add value in their target markets, including the handheld and mobile segments. We are extremely excited to be a part of bringing this key enabling technology to the market.”
