Global business and financial news, comment and analysis from FT.com will be available for selected Sony Ericsson mobile phones via www.SonyEricsson.com/services. The cost of a 30-day subscription package is EUR 5 or USD. Actually it possible to look at the FT.com WAP site using http://wap.ft.com for free using any WAP device, reports the Inquirer web service. - Or it was previously, because at the moment if you try to read any stories the site says sorry its servers are overloaded. A strange way of hinting that you need to stomp up for the service, the Inquirer writes. The content offering pits Sony Ericsson, at least partly, against the mobile operators. How kindly the network operators will take to Sony Ericsson trying to hijack their users by offering premium content, remains to be seen.
