Vodafone plays blackjack T-Mobile signs up for Texas Hold’em poker
Mobile gambling is on the rise in the UK as more and more mobile companies launch new casino games.
T-Mobile has announced that it will team up with Cecure Gaming, a mobile gambling company that is backed by Bessemer Venture Partners.
Through the partnership, Cecure will develop the style of casino games, such as Texas Hold’em poker for the T-Mobile platform, Mobile Betting News reports.
Cecure also has an agreement with Vodafone to launch a new blackjack game. This new blackjack game will allow mobile players to bet 10 UK Pounds for each game.
The operator of National Lottery has formed a partnership with France Telecom’s Orange. The deal is dependent on the group getting its 3rd lottery license for next 10 years.
Gambling commission looking at mobiles
The national Gambling Commission said that they would regulate mobile gambling starting next September.
The Gambling Commission has been expressing concerns about the suitability of the mobile gaming platform.
The commission is worried about the ability of the mobile platform to inform consumers well enough to gain informed consent from them.
The mobile gambling industry is responding by asking mobile companies to fund gambling help lines as they widen their activities in the mobile gaming market.
