700 MobileMonday events in 2008 Tammisto interviewed by Paul Ruppert
“Franchising model was not workable, it was too old fashioned and it would taken way too long carry out. We decided to adopt open source strategy and make everything open and available. This way all the local chapters choose the methods that suit best their environments and membership,” says MobileMonday CEO Jari Tammisto about internationalization of MobileMonday. He was talking to Paul Ruppert for his podcast from Barcelona. Your can find the audio stream on Mobile Point View by Paul Ruppert
"We plan to host over 700 Mobile Monday events in 2008 in 70 different cities around the world, and we expect to see more than 90,000 participants,” Tammisto promised. This would make MobileMonday the world’s leading event organizer in the mobile technology industry.
