Good for video and TV TIM pick up Nokia 6630 smartphone
TIM (Telecom Italia Mobile), the leading mobile telecoms operator in Italy, running operations in Greece, Turkey and almost all over South America, has selected the Nokia 6630 smartphone for its 3G product portfolio.
The Nokia 6630 phone offers online e-mail, the possibility to download and view e-mail attachments while on the move, mobile broadband access to multimedia content, live video streaming and video conferencing.
“We are very happy to work closely with TIM to ensure their customers can use the Nokia 6630 smartphone to take full advantage of the high-speed 3G networks and to show that the 3G mass market is here,” said Tuula Rytilä-Uotila, Director, Imaging, EMEA, Multimedia, Nokia.
TIM and Nokia are also collaborating on launching a Video Sharing service for TIM’s customers in Italy. Video Sharing is a new multimedia service that enriches 3G mobile users’ communication by allowing them to share a live camera view or a video clip while speaking on their mobile phone. TIM’s innovative mobile TV services also enable 3G customers to watch TV programs live on the Nokia 6630 smartphone’s large color display.
