USD 105 per share in cash VimpelCom commences tender offer for Golden Telecom

The second largest Russian mobile operator VimpelCom announced Friday that its indirect subsidiary, Lillian Acquisition, Inc. has commenced tender offer for 100 percent of the outstanding shares of common stock of Golden Telecom, Inc. under the previously announced merger agreement between Lillian Acquisition, VimpelCom Finance B.V. and Golden Telecom.
The cash offer and withdrawal rights are scheduled to expire at 12:00 midnight, New York City time on Friday, February 15, 2008, unless the offer is extended by Lillian Acquisition.
VimpelCom will webcast a conference call and slide presentation to discuss this announcement on January 28, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. Moscow time (10:30 a.m. EST). The conference call will be hosted by Alexander Izosimov, Chief Executive Officer of VimpelCom.
