Sendandsee products get European distribution Zed publishes three mobile magazines
Sonera Zed Saturday published its first mobile magazines. The three titles focus on entertainers and gossip; on sports, especially football and Formula racing; and on extreme sports.
“Whopla!”, “Riento!” and “Rocsport” are put together by a Finnish mobile B2B content congregator and distributor Sendandsee LLC.
Privately owned company in August announced that it had signed a distribution agreement for its mobile magazines with a leading provider of consumer mobile value-added services in several European and Asian markets. Zed’s name was not revealed yet.
TeliaSonera AB announced on August 17 that it had agreed to sell it Sonera Zed Oy to Wisdom Entertainment, a Spanish interactive media corporation.
Sendandsee’s mobile magazines will be offered in different, partially localized versions initially in one market, but ultimately in four EU markets.
”Sendandsee’s mobile magazines give us an interesting business opportunity to be at the forefront of the emergence of new, subscription-based services with compelling, rich content, and simultaneously enable us to cross-market existing mobile value added services in this new media.” says Zed spokesperson.

Two year old Sendandsee’s main business has been the delivery of visual material for mobile operators and ISPs. Sendandsee delivers the mobile images with clear copyright titles with no hanging royalty fees or bureaucracy.
According to Jussi Lystimäki, a partner, Sendandsee delivers about half a million images per month. The number of image downloads is growing 10-15 percent monthly.
