Dear MoMo Followers,

as announced: Our next MobileMonday will be on WEDNESDAY April 6th on the fascinating topic of the convergence of print, web and mobile. Or to say it with TechNewsWorld: What is the converged media road to success?

With the introduction of advanced smartphones, e-readers and tablets, it’s hardly surprising that consumption of online content has grown exponentially. This has caused turmoil within the media industry.

Traditional advertising revenues are declining as new marketing options are emerging. Print media and newspaper subscriber bases and readership are eroding, while the competition for online viewership is increasing.

The need for adoption of social media and delivery to multiple mobile devices is increasingly becoming essential for retaining and attracting new customers. In this rapidly changing environment, media organizations are being forced to reevaluate their strategies for media convergence.

On the occasion of the first congress & exhibition showcasing this convergence of print, web and mobile, the Digi:Media from April 7th to 9th in Düsseldorf , we at MobileMonday will start this discussion on the eve before of this show. With IDG doing also an “making apps” conference on the same day as us as kick-off of the Digi:Media there are enough reasons to join us in Düsseldorf that week!

Time: April 6, 2011 from 6pm to 10pm
Location: Dusseldorf
Street: PLATZ DER IDEEN 1 (at Grey GmbH)

Listen to our contributors:

  • Ralph Scholz, Project Manager Digi:Media, Messe Düsseldorf
