MoMo Seattle – April 18th – Enterprise Mobile Apps
Posted on: April 4, 2011 – Filed under: Seattle
Come join Mobile Monday & CISCO for a night of app demos, tech talk, open bar & appetizers
At Cisco, customers come first. An integral part of our DNA is creating long-lasting partnerships with our customers, working with them to identify their needs and provide solutions that support success.
The concept of creating solutions to address needs has been with Cisco since its inception. Husband and wife, Len Bosack and Sandy Lerner, both working for Stanford University, wanted to email each other from their offices, located in different buildings. A technology had to be invented to deal with disparate local area protocols; and as a result of solving their challenge of not being able to email each other – the multi-protocol router was born.
Fast forward to today and Cisco continues to evolve and adapt to meet the needs of its customers delivering key technologies either by developing, partnering or acquainting it. As these network solutions continue to proliferate, Cisco is looking into ways to bring the attributes of these networks to the mobile application developer community. This month at Mobile Monday, Location Based Services Enterprise applications using the Cisco Wireless Access Points and Mobility Services Engine, will be demonstrated; this key capability will bring the location based services to a more ubiquitous offering.
