Console sales have sagged significantly as interest in ageing machines waned. Analysts see the future of gaming in mobile devices. This MobileMonday will give insights into the various business models in mobile gaming. From the mere sale of games, in-game-advertsing, free games as marketing tool to mobile social media games market. You will have the occasion to test games in the Nokia Gaming Demo Area.

Christopher Kassulke, CEO of Handy-Games is the largest German mobile games developer. Christopher will give an overview over the last decade in mobile gaming and the prospects of the industry in the iPhone and Android environment.
Matthias Hellmund, Head of Mobile Development at exozet GmbH. exozet transferred the well-known Settler of Catan board game to mobile phones. Further to that, Matthias will present possibilities of mobile in-game-advertising and mobile games as marketing tools.
Jürgen Mayer, CEO at plazz entertainment AG. Plazz runs a portfolio of games in social networks and for iPhone, iPad and iPod. Furthermore plazz develops 3rd party apps for clients – an app full service. Juergen will talk about the battle of Apps and showcase challenges in mobile games development & distribution at plazz.
Oscar Clark from Papaya Mobile. Oscar has been involved with putting social and gaming together since 1998 with experience in the online, mobile and console markets including Hutchinson Whampoa (3UK) and PlayStation(r) Home. He will talk about how adding Social is already reshaping the way to design and monetize mobile games.
Jens Dissmann, head service, sales and marketing, Nokia Germany. Jens acts as a chief evangelist within the Sales Unit, applying and promoting the more Internet and “New Technology” driven approach of Nokia. Jens will be talking about Nokia’s strategy and the Ovi Store, which is mainly driven by mobile games including content from exozet and handy-games.
