Media Owners. Agencies. Mobile & Social Media Start-ups. CALL for participants.
Mobile Monday NY in collaboration with Helen Keegan of Mobile Monday London intend to hold an event the week of May 23rd.
Topic: The Future of Media and Advertising: What’s happening on the mobile platform and in social media.
Helen is bringing ~25 Norwegian media owners with her on a study trip. They’re all senior executives from the likes of TV2 (biggest national broadcaster in Norway), Telenor (international MNO), SOL (biggest portal in Norway like “Yahoo”), Aller Group (large International publishing house), Aftenposten (like the Norwegian version of the New York Times) and also several technological people from Mobiletch, Boost, and Reaktor.
The purpose of the trip is to look at what the future of media and, advertising might look like, with a particular interest in what’s, happening on the mobile platform and in social media.
As such, we are keen to put together a Mobile Monday event.
…albeit it in a very short period of time.
The idea is to do speed panels — three short panels covering different aspects of mobile advertising and marketing and then have networking and drinks afterwards.
This will be great fun to do and be a great international networking opportunity.
The group also wants to meet interesting companies working in mobile and social media during the networking part of the event, especially those who can fulfill one or more of the following criteria:
- have new and interesting ways of advertising to consumers
- have a new take on business models
- have a different take on what media means in the mobile environment
- (Flipboard and Foursquare both being examples)
- are using technology in a unique way
- can reduce costs significantly
- can help media owners make money
- is a media owner using mobile and/or social media effectively to make money
