This month at Mobile Monday we have the UKTI (United Kingdom Trade & Investment) in to discuss their services and promote their $30k competition to establish part of your business in the UK; and
OzRunways: Revolutionising how pilots navigate (and the business of selling $100 apps to thousands instead of $1 apps to millions.)
Most people who have seen images of the flight deck of an airliner or business jet, assume all light aircraft are equipped with a similar array of navigational instruments. That could not be farther from the truth; a compass is about as advanced as many aircraft get. Aviation GPS units can cost thousands and leave many users wanting in screen resolution and user friendliness. This is why we created OzRunways; using the iPad’s big screen to show official aviation maps and make navigation a breeze and creating an overnight fast-growth company in the process, proving that in a $1 app world, people are willing to pay good money for mobile software that provides them real value.
OzRunways was created by a trio of pilots with very different backgrounds: Neil Weste, retired WiFi pioneer and private helicopter pilot, Rowan Willson, RAAF Orion P3 Captain and Computer Science grad and Bas Scheffers, recreational pilot and proprietor of Formicary, an Adelaide (Tomorrow Studio) based developer of mobile apps and websites.
OzRunways have great plans for the future; entering different markets with OzRunways around the world as well as other aviation apps and related hardware.
