The upcoming event, the first ever to be held in Asia, will be co-located with the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT 2008) conference to be held in Kuala Lumpur next year.

MobileMonday Tokyo December Events Update

A quick shout-out to everyone we met during last weeks APAC adventure. We hit MoMo in Singapore, thanks to the good folks from iDA and location hosts at Microsoft, toured Kuala Lumpur to conclude details for a major announcement regarding our 2008 Global Summit – details coming soon – and then off to Jakarta for the launch of Indonesia’s chapter. This will be first official open microfone program during last few years, but at the same time it will revisit the original MobileMonday sessions at Molly Malone’s. MoMo Tokyo December 3rd — Japan Mobile Video

Thanks to everyone who attended our 12 November Smartphone Series event at the Canadian Embassy – nearly 200 came through the doors! For 3 December, Mobile Monday Tokyo is back at KDDI’s fashionable Designing Studio with a mobile video theme. 2008 is promising to be a break-out year for broadcast television and video streaming in Japan, so we expect this event will be both insightful and very well attended: full details below.. 🙂

UK Mobile Market

After the successful opening event of MobileMonday Madrid and the Mobile Web Applications topic covered in Barcelona, the next MobileMonday Madrid event on November 12 covers experiences from the UK Mobile Market. The UK has one of the most active emerging markets in next generation mobile data services, together with France, Germany, Italy and Spain. We want to learn about the experiences from some of the best positioned people in the UK Mobile industry and explore new market opportunities.

Mobile Marketing and Advertising

Helsinki MobileMonday will focus on mobile marketing and advertising on November 5th. The rich program begins at 17:45 with video from the September Global Summit followed by a Global MobileMonday update by Jari Tammisto. André Chaker, the head of casual games at Veikkaus, will lead the show with his personal experience from mobile advertising. He was CEO of Mobicus, a company that was later sold to Enpocket, now a Nokia company.
