As a result of many of our planned Mobile Safety speakers’ participation in the January International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, we have had to postpone the Mobile Safety topic until later in the year. The call for speakers for 17/1 #momobxl has been launched with working title ‘Legal crash course 101 for mobile developers’. The aim of this evening is to go through the bare essentials of copyrights, ownership rights, other legal elements to watch out for. We have already confirmation from renowned ICT lawyer Erik Valgaeren (cabinet stibbe) with working title “legal do’s and don’ts in setting up mobile marketplaces- who owns my app?” Another presentation from Nokia QT along this theme will be catered along these lines. It was a very pleasant two days last week in Riga. I hope you all enjoyed that as much as we did organizing it. We had more than 100 participants what was a pleasant surprise about the interest and relevance of the event.
