Laurent Renard predicts the end of credit cards is coming. Pull don’t Push: How NFC Smart Posters will affect advertising and marketing. Mobile contactless services and NFC Smart Posters are about to change people’s daily lives. NFC built into the Nexus S and the iPhone 5.0 heralds the start of contactless credit cards, opening the door to a whole new arena of mobile commerce, allowing users to carry cash and credit inside e-wallet applications. NFC software front-end platforms which focus on the end user experience will be very attractive for operators, advertisers and direct marketers.
Laurent has co-founded Toro Development in 2007 to address the very promising market of NFC services. The company focuses on the front-end part of such services and provides the best possible user-experience corresponding to the NFC applications including marketing, CRM, gaming, social network. Laurent has been working in the smart card industry in Asia-Pacific for 3 years at FIME (part of OrangeBusiness Services) as director of the consulting department. Before that, he worked for 7 years at innovation consultancy firm NODE (now LOOP-Cn) in Spain and France.
