Mobile Monday Islamabad May 9th Event Report

MoMo event held Yesterday (9th May,2010) with a huge participation of more than 150 people. The show was dominated by the faculty and students of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Departments. However, some faculty members from Mathematics and other department also attended the event. CEO of National ICT R & D fund also graced the occasion.

At the start of the Program importance of MoMo Platform was highlighted. Later on, some project presentations from faculty and students of EE and CS department were given. On behalf of Rector, CIIT, BMIP-2011 was also announced during this event. A leaflet was circulated among the participant showing important dates for BMIP-2011.Finally, Dr. Muhammad Azim announced the Winners of BMIP-2010.

A project ”E-health Dedicated Server for Medical Practitioners and Emergency vehicles to improve quality of health in remote areas of Pakistan” was declared as winner project. Dr. Nasro-Min-Allah and Mr. Zeeshan Mehta of Computer Science department, CIIT, Islamabad were the innovators of this project. Mr. Zeeshan Mehta described the salient features of his winner project. Everyone liked and appreciated the innovative projects of this team.Dr. Azim acknowledged the efforts made by Mr. Wille Eerola, Founder of BMIP and Chairman of the grand Jury and His Excellency, Mr. Shahid Kamal for making BMIP-2010 as success.

The program ended with a vote of thanks to the Management of CIIT especially the rector, Dr. S.M. Junaid Zaidi.
