Near Field Communication is being touted as the next big thing; from mobile payments to extra levels on your mobile game. Tapit NFC is the pioneering leader in Australia and other parts of Asia, in utilizing near field communication (NFC) technologies to market a company’s brand with just a simple tap of a customer’s mobile phone. Jamie Conyngham (CEO & Co-Founder of Tapit) will be talking about NFC, how it could revolutionise mobile content and engagement and some key insights into the usage/uptake.

Vijay Balachandran (Head of UX, Fairfax Digital) will share the process they followed for determining the user experience positioning – how and why the experience must differ from print, websites, competitors websites and news aggregators. He’ll also reflect on how their audience research was conducted, the user experience objectives that were set and outline some the the key challenges from a business, user experience and ongoing production point of view.

After the recent launch of the Australian Mobile Phone Lifestyle Index we’ll cover off the top ten findings on how Australians use their mobile phone including insights on; app downloads, tablet purchasing, and mobile banking.
