Mobile Monday Global Events for Week of April 16th – 2012

Forecast: April Showers and MoMo Gigs from Adelaide to Washington
While not that (m)any of you may have noticed.. but it was your humble Happy Bots digital debut anniversary over this past weekend, so we unplugged for a few daze here. Grinding back up to speed was bit of a struggle to pull all those stray bytes together for another cheeky round-up below. Taking a surf around for all the Mo’Buzz we did a quick tally of this wild west community with ballpark counts via usual verticals: FaceBook – 100 groups with 40,000 members, Linkedin – about 80 with easily 35,000 combined and Twitter – shows 90+ with some 45,000 Followers for a digital world total pushing up 120k.. Boo Whaa! We know you’re all out there – feeling that warm spring fever – share the Peace, Love and MoMo 
Here’s the events lineup for this week; Adelaide welcomes NextFaze of AR on 04.16 while Boulder does Demystifying Mobile Payments, Brussels has Mobile Transport theme planned, note they also have an HTML5 Training Session during the afternoon and Detroit gathers for Mobile in Government. Dubai is at Media One Hotel, sponsored by RIM, for their get together tonight, MoMo JoBurg (shhhh) crashes Tech Demo Africa on the 17th, sponsored by inMobi, while Kiev has a strong looking lineup, translator required, for their event. Las Vegas joins Foursquare Day 2012, Madison has an ‘Open Mic’ theme while Silicon Valley runs An Evening with Nokia – Plus – their MoMo Dev. Labs project focused on Multi-platform Build Tools and further up the coast Vancouver will have Mobify in da house!
As for MoMo event plans during the week of April 23rd we have Athens running an mHealth theme, on Weds. the 25th, Beijing does Mobile Publishing theme, the energetic crew in Boston is back with Mobile Startups Pitch to VCs and Chicago digs NFC. Cleveland reset for a Joint Event with NOSQAA (on Thurs the 26th), Lansing has Mobile Marketing, Melbourne apparently also has mHealth topic with details coming asap, while Philadelphia is geared up for their 5th annual Demo Night and rounding out the pack, from what we can see now, Washington does Mobile Commerce.
