The debate is overblown and the mobile technology landscape is incredibly confusing. There are numerous choices from HTML5 based mobile web application to native application development methods. The tech industry’s movers and shakers have been saying for months now that the HTML5 is the next big thing.

According to Gartner by 2015, 60 percent of enterprise mobile applications and 40 percent of consumer mobile applications will be web applications. HTML5 is the emerging standard which has the potential to build ‘any’ rich web application using CSS3 and JavaScript.

Companies like Salesforce.com, Facebook, Google, and Accenture have integrated HTML5 in their development efforts and Forrester thinks that 60% of developers worldwide will start using HTML5 by end of 2012.
