As mobile transforms the way we engage in commerce, much of the conversation has been around ways in which customers are completing transactions outside of the physical retail space. Join our panel of experts, as they instead discuss how mobile is transforming the physical retail experience, both from the perspectives of the consumer and the retailer.

Kate Kingberger is an experienced executive working in high tech for 15 years post-MBA. She has successfully led team efforts in management roles in mobile technology product development, telecom software operations, marketing plan roll-outs and various software implementations. She performs well in both small and large companies: smaller than 100 persons and larger than 100K persons. She excels in start up, high-growth divisions. Her roles encompass managing multi-million dollar Business Development efforts, operating Industry-wide project plans for 97% of the US wireless market, and most recently developing a new Inter-Agency strategic work group with US Financial Regulatory Agencies on specific technical and legal implications regarding mobile payment infrastructure.
Her experience prior to the tech industry include general business strategy development work (revamping large public utilities) and financial management from both sides of the investment decision (managing millions of equity investment portfolios and performing financial analysis for buy and sell decisions), Her broad experience proves her General Management skills. Her passion is analyzing business trends and improving operations to be ahead of the pack. She keeps a pulse on future direction of new technologies and is keen on VC investing and investments. She is recognized in the industry as a relationship builder. She was named as a “Woman to Watch”, served on the leadership team of Women in Wireless, and is on the Board for Mobile Monday, DC chapter.

Bryan Colligan – CEO & Founder @ SEQR Pay
Bryan Colligan founded and launched SeQRPay Mobile Commerce Platform. SeQR Pay Helps Small Businesses Get Discovered with a New Mobile Distribution Channel. As well as having the vision for SeQRPay, he drives product, r&d and helps educate current clients to monetize the platform.
Previously Bryan founded Apollo Matrix, a Mobile Development company where he launched over 50 mobile apps for startups and Fortune 500 clients. Bryan sold and successuflly exited Apollo Matrix in Spring 2012.
Before that he was a Lead Mobile Architect at Media Mob, IT Architect at Avanco International, Senior Consultant-SOA Architect at Zanett, ERP Specialist at CSC, and won the Rising Star Award at Oracle.
Mike Dietrich – Co-Founder & VP of Everything @ Core72
Mike is mobile and web professional turned entrepreneur. After 15+ years of product and marketing roles in some of the nation’s largest media and telecommunications companies, in 2012 Mike co-founded Core72, an outdoor and active wear apparel business. Located in Washington, D.C., Core72’s mission is to give people the equipment, information and inspiration to get out and explore the outdoors.
Prior to starting Core72, Mike was responsible for the management and expansion of the mobile and web product lines at SiriusXM Radio, extending SiriusXM’s award-winning content to digital platforms to drive subscriber and revenue growth and improve customer retention. In this role, Mike oversaw strategy, product design, development and marketing.
Prior to SiriusXM, Mike held several senior product management marketing and business development positions at Nextel and then Sprint Nextel. Mike also worked as Management Consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton where he specialized in telecommunications policy. Mike has an MBA from Georgetown University.
Sam von Pollaro – CEO & Founder @ Venga
Sam is the CEO of Venga, a customer relationship management system for restaurants based in Washington, DC. Sam has over a decade of experience in launching businesses and helping established companies resolve strategic, financial, and operational issues. Sam was previously the founder of Petals for the People, a business that revolutionized the sale and distribution of fresh cut flowers, which he sold to a Battery Ventures portfolio company less than 15 months after launch.
Sam was formerly a Principal at Portfolio Logic Management, a private equity firm founded by Jeff Zients, currently President Obama’s Director of the Office of Management and Budget. Previously, Mr. von Pollaro was a Senior Analyst at Capital Guidance Corporation and an Analyst at the strategy consulting firm Dean & Company. Mr. von Pollaro holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
