MoMo Islamabad – May 6th – Wireless Communication Evolution

Mobile Monday event was held on 6th May 2013 at CIIT Islamabad Campus. The program started as per schedule. Mr. Muhammad Umar Khan from CAST department started the event by describing some history of CAST and Mobile Monday events. Mr. Khurram Saleem Alimgeer introduced event’s guests and invited them for presentation.
This event’s guests were Mr. Liaqat Khan and Mr. Muhammad Junaid Alam (Assistanat Managers), NOC Radio/Technical from Ufone. Their topic of presentation was Wireless Communication Evolution (2G, 3G and 4G Networks). They described in detail about the Wireless communication generations and evolutions, standardization bodies, introduction about GSM, GPRS, UMTS, EDGE, HSPA, WiMax and LTE.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks from Mr. Khurram Saleem Alimgeer.
