In 2008, the markets for these “mobile multimedia computers” gained new dynamism as Apple iPhone and Google Android entered the markets. In addition, new design metaphoras, such as the touch screens, are breaking through among consumers, business users and naturally among mobile software developers. Thus, it is very interesting to see what kind of impact these new trends have on: 1) mobile operators’ business models and 2) software development companies.
