Mobile Learning Technology, Benefits Now & In the Future
Posted on: September 4, 2010 – Filed under: Ann Arbor
Professor Soloway will be speaking to us on the use of mobile learning technology, now and in the future, and the benefits it can provide for the children of the world. His prediction: within 5 years, every child in every grade in every classroom in America will be using a mobile learning device (MLD); even though 99.9% of schools today ban cellphones! In his presentation he will describe how MLDs are used in schools and speculate about the technology (hardware and software) that needs to be created in order to make “mobile learning” that much more effective – for the world’s, not just America’s, children.
Also presenting will be Mike Burns, CEO of HandEHolder, speaking about their hands-free iPad accessory, and Don Burnett of Calder Entertainment and Media Corporation speaking about Windows 7 Mobile.
This meeting weill be held at Connor O’Neill’s in Ann Arbor. Food may be ordered off the menu.
Networking will take place from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.; presentations will begin a 7:00 p.m. and finish by 8:15 p.m.
