MobileMonday Oslo invites you to Mobile Trends Xmas party @ICEbar starting at 17:00 on the 6th of December. This is the last chance of 2010 to network with you peers and get the latest insights on some of the key trends of 2011. RSVP here

We have invited three keynote speakers and executives to present a global and in-depth perspective on some of the key trends that we see for 2011 – Mobile Commerce, Location Based Services and Mobile Advertising & Marketing. ICT Norway will also present their new initiative UP! and we will kick-start the Oslo Startup Weekend launch whom this time around is focusing on mobile and web apps!

mCommerce by Thomas Bostrøm Jørgensen
Thomas is the former CEO of Luup, a company he headed over the last four years to become a world leading mobile payments solutions provider. Prior to joining Luup he was the VP R&D at Force, responsible for technology and innovation for their award-winning high-end digital-TV receivers and co-founder of Voycast, that was subsequently acquired by Force. He has over ten years of experience in senior and executive management positions at successful international companies, and frequently hold presentations at conferences around the world.

Location Based Services by Ric Ferraro
Ric is regarded as a thought-leader within the LBS domain and is the author of Location Aware Apps (See book voucher below) that was recently published with Manning. He has been specializing in mobile strategy and applications since 2007, and co-founded GeoMe Communications in 2008. Ric also blogs @ mobverge.blogspot.com which rapidly gathered a regular worldwide audience and is an official blogger for MobileMonday, W3C Mobile Web Initiative and LeWeb. Prior to this Ric worked at the GSM Association where he initiated and lead the partnership between MobileMonday Global and the GSMA Innovation Program.

Mobile Advertising & Marketing by Steinar Brændeland
Steinar is the General Manager of More Mobile Relations, a Telenor owned company, and a market driver within mobile advertising and marketing in the Nordic region. He is regarded as a pioneer within interactive mobile services and marketing in Norway. Prior to more More Mobile Steinar was CEO at Active Loop Marketing and had key positions in launching and development of TVNorge and TV2. Over the last six years he has focused on interactive marketing and has been involved in concept development and execution of more than 1.000 national and international campaigns with global as well as local brands. He has also held positions as EVP at The Mobile Media Company and was co-founder and CEO at Cee.tv

Oslo Startup Weekend on January 28th-30th is a 54 hour startup event that provides the networking, resources, and incentives for individuals and teams to go from idea to launch
