Mobile Monday Mid-Atlantic has named Chuck Sacco president and announced the topic of its first meeting of its 2010-11 season, which will be held Monday night. Sacco is the vice president of client strategy at Bryn Mawr-based Movitas LLC, which he joined when it acquired a company he co-founded, PhindMe LLC, late last year.

Sacco joined the board of directors of Mobile Monday Mid-Atlantic last year as the organization’s head of sponsorship. He replaces J.P. Finnell, a co-founder of Mobile Monday Mid-Atlantic, who will continue to serve on its board.

Mobile Monday Mid-Atlantic is the area chapter of a global networking group started in 2000 in Helsinki, Finland, about seven miles from Nokia Corp.’s headquarters. It drew about 60 people to its first meeting in October 2007, but now has more than 1,800 members.

Mobile Monday Mid-Atlantic is free to join, but charges admission to its meetings, the next of which will be held Monday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the University of the Arts, 320 S. Broad St.

The event is called, “Survival of the Fittest: Is Your Mobile App Strategy DOA?” Shiv K. Bakhshi, the founder and CEO of Mount Laurel, N.J.-based Mobile Perspectives will deliver a keynote speech. Steve Smith, who writes and leads conferences for New York-based MediaPost Communications, will moderate the panel. Via:  Philadelphia Business Journal
