The second annual Mobile Health Forum event will take place Monday night at the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
Part of the Mobile Monday Mid-Atlantic series, the event will explore challenges faced by health-care providers and patients, and the role of mobile technologies in addressing them.
Founded in 2007, Mobile Monday Mid-Atlantic is the local chapter of a nonprofit global community of wireless industry professionals.
“Mobile technology is helping to address the health-care needs of a changing population and is an essential enabler of remote preventative care,” said Robert Jarrin, senior director of government affairs for Qualcomm Inc. and a Mobile Health Forum keynote speaker.
The event, which will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m., will feature two panels comprised of clinicians, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, privacy and security experts, and technologists. Discussions will explore the needs and mind sets of health-care professionals and the people they serve, recent technological advances and deployments, business realities and opportunities, and best practices for members of both the medical and business communities.
