There has bee a lot of hype around Mobile Augmented Reality, lately. But MoMO is going to show you, why augmented or information enriched visuals of your vicinity will be the general user interface to mobile location based services: With dynamically improving services all around your present location and its vicinity, good ole’ maps will have to make place for a new kind of “information-layer” wrapping your real world vision with all kinds of information relevant to your present personal needs as well as your long term interests.
That’s at least the vision of providers, and the dream of mobile marketers. And those dreams may even come true, as long as they have something substantial to contribute to your mobile user-experience. Of course we might all get around without those extended information-layers even in the future, but we might as well develop a feeling of something missing when roaming around without those layers – just like watching a silent movie may be fun even when a substantial dimension of movies – sound – is missing.
Our round of speakers will include
* Marc Rene Gardeya, of AR-Browser pioneer Layar(presenting Layar’s features and capabilities)
* Markus Tripp of Mobilizy, presenting all the new AddOns of social AR-App “Wikitude” that you might have missed at Wikitude’s presentation at MWC in Barcelona.
* Joachim Bader of Clanmo, presenting the new IKEA Augmented Reality App.
* Dan Romescu of openproduction, proposes the vision of an “Augmented Citizen”.
* … more
