MoMo Detroit – Aug. 20th – Legal Issues with Mobile
Posted on: August 1, 2012 – Filed under: Detroit
This month’s event will feature speakers exploring the myriad of legal issues related to the development and/or use of mobile technologies. Speakers will include:
o Robin Luce-Herrmann, Attorney, Butzel Long
o Mike Watza, Partner, Kitch Drutchas Wagner Valitutti & Sherbrook and General Counsel, Mobile Technology Association of Michigan
Attorney Luce-Herrmann will discuss one of the hottest topics in digital media today, mobile data management. As we all know, constantly evolving legislation and regulation plays a major role in the management of personal identifying information and protected health information. Advances in geo-location and geo-social tools have opened new questions that push the boundary of our understanding of privacy. Even with data management tools, data use by individuals, businesses and law enforcement creates new hazards and perils for users and programmers alike. Attorney Luce-Herrmann will highlight the issues you will likely see as tomorrow’s headlines in the area of mobile data management.
Details on Attorney Watza’s presentation will be available shortly.
