MoMo Detroit – Dec. 10th – 2012 Year in Review

Posted on: November 17, 2012 – Filed under: Detroit

What a difference a year makes! The mobile technology industry has been extremely dynamic over the last few years and 2012 was no exception. On December 10th, join us as we explore ‘2012 in Review; What happened in mobile, what comes next and what’s the impact?’. The format of this meeting will be quite different from our typical Mobile Monday Detroit meetings; instead of speakers presenting to the audience, we’ll encourage the audience to offer their own insights thru broad participation and interaction.

MoMoDetroit organizers, Linda Daichendt, Glenn Everitt, Randy Nunez, Jeremy Eckhous, and Dave Pollock will get things started by highlighting key events and trends of 2012 which may include any of a diverse list of topics such as:

  • AT&T/T-Mobile merger cancelled. What is the impact to these companies and the industry? How might this impact future mergers and the industry?
  • Rise of the machines: The growth of the “Internet of Things” and The Connected World
  • The dominance of Android and iOS. Is there room for other Mobile OS players?
  • The Microsoft mobile story. Is it coming together nicely or is it too late to the game?
  • RIM’s destiny. Will BB10 give them new life?
  • Location-based services. How much knowledge is too much?
  • Many more!

With over 1000 MoMoDetroit members, we have a wide diversity of expertise among our membership, and we urge you to bring your thoughts, perspectives, opinions and questions with you as together we reflect on 2012 and explore the year’s impact on our industry in 2013 and beyond. Share your expertise and gain insights from others that may impact your firm’s strategy going forward!

The meeting takes place at Compuware Headquarters on Monday, December 10th at 5:30 p.m., and is free to attend though reservations are required for security and catering purposes.

Free parking is available to those who utilize Compuware’s parking deck and have their parking stub validated when signing in at the meeting. Refreshments will be served.
