- Mobile Monday kampala had their first meeting at Orange Uganda on 15th February 2010 in Preparation for Mobile Monday launch. The theme of the meeting was “The Future of Mobile Broadband”

Mobile Monday Kampala was officially launched on 8th March 2010 at speak Resort Munyonyo.The theme was “Mobile Innovation: Services and Startups.” It was sponsored by SMS Media, SMS One, True African, Blue Cube, Digital Solutions and Yo! Uganda.
Speakers included Jari Tammisto CEO of MobileMonday Global. The core MoMoKla team had put together a panel of speakers who shared a passion for mobile applications and innovations. Speakers included: Isaac Nsereko, MTN’s CMO; Dr Tim Kelly, Lead ICT Policy Specialist with infoDev at the World Bank; Miha Logar, MD Studio Edirisa; Prof Idris Rai, associate Professor in Communication Networks at Makerere University and Laiton Namutebi. MoMoKla is proud to be the first African chapter of MobileMonday outside South Africa.
