Rooting Android for fun and profit
To start the evening Joseph Luk from ika mobile and one of MoMoVan’s volunteers will show us in less than 15 minutes how with a few clicks, a moderately tech-savvy user can customize their Android phone to disable ads from the major ad networks, across all apps. What does rooting and re-flashing mean today for users, developers, and the Android platform? He’ll demonstrate some of the possibilities on a Samsung Galaxy S.
