BlackBerry Playbook to run Android apps

A Research in Motion spokesperson was caught on video (uploaded by Mobile Monday Rio) saying that RIM “will also support Android apps when we release the Dalvik engine on top of QNX.” Dalvik is a virtual machine that’s an integral part of the Android OS, and is open source. Earlier this year, Myriad Group announced its Alien Dalvik software, which “enables Android applications to operate on non-Android devices.” So the idea of Android apps running on a BlackBerry Playbook (or any non-Android tablet) aren’t that farfetched.
