Mobile Monday Global Events for Week of March 19th – 2012

Thank You Texas – it’s All Big – Welcome Aboard to MoMo Guangzhou!
After our international presidential airport tour; flying from Paris (de Gaulle) to New York (JFK) and landing at Houston (George Bush), we stumbled into the glorious chaos that is SxSW. Mega congrats to the local Austin team for the massive MoMo mixer @Fogo de Chao, super to see a huge crowd of friends and family assembled there. The rest is bit of a blur and/or should stay off-record to protect the innocent. Next-up on our global events radar is the 10th annual Innovation Africa Digital Summit at the end of March, also note here the CTIA and GoMobile shows planned for May, so thankfully we get a week home to re-charge. Meanwhile, most pleased to welcome the latest addition to our growing community with MoMo Guangzhou – a great crew on point there – who ready for their launch debut!
On-tap for March 19th we have Chicago with Nokia CES ReDux, Cleveland has iOS Security Tips, as noted above Guangzhou gets underway and London runs a Nook Tablet Dev. Workshop – Thx Wired. Jakarta has m2m the Next 50 Billion, Kamapala does Mobile Financial Innovation, Munich is all about FaceBook and HTML5, Oulu joins the action at Starttaamo (on the 22nd) and Paris runs a Post MWC Report theme. St. Petersburg is back with a Mobile Games gig while Sydney welcomes Google for Monetising Mobile Apps and Vienna gathers for Smart Home Connected Devices. Washington will get smart(er) with Mobile Education topic, hosted at Microsoft, for 03.19 while Zurich does Hybrid vs. Native Apps at HP in Dübendorf. Whew.. by our count that’s 14 MoMo chapter events ready to rock!
Looking forward for March 26th: Brisbane is ‘On’ with Demo Nite, we see Brussels digging into The Mobile App Economy, Denver does Online-to-Onsite (O2O) while Dusseldorf also runs e-commerce focus show at their swanky new RiverLoft venue. Frankfurt has m-coupons, expect some Daily Deals there, Lansing explores How to Make Money with Mobile Apps while Melbourne ‘just announced’ their original March 19th gig will be held next week with Google, update your calendar. New York has Developing with WP7 for Nokia, free phones for all (or at least a lucky few) and Seoul does co-op gig for Mobile Ad Tech show – fantastic lineup there. No doubt a few more upcoming we’ve missed…
Finally, excited to close noting yet another new chapter location – MoMo Medellin – launches 03.26 with an impressive group of community leaders coming together there as well. Now, we have a ton of email, and laundry, to catch-up on.. trust all have a great evening – as always.. Smile.. It’s Monday.. 😎
