New MoMo Chapter in Addis Ababa – Thanks to Microsoft for All The Fish!
That’s right folks! In case you missed it yesterday, our boyz in Brisbane spilled the newz, the MoMo global team in Finland have accepted an offer from Microsoft – for a cool €41M – and going forward we will be switching gears to Windows Wednesday (WiWe). Safe to say we’re all a bit shocked, and massively hung-over, but getting back to normal here now since it’s no longer.. Doh.. April 1st.. #_#
More inline with reality, we’re most pleased to extend warm welcome to the latest addition of the family – MoMo Addis Ababa – who signed the chapter agreement on sidelines of the Innovation Africa Digital Summit in Ethiopia last week! The team photo below, we look forward to see you again soon.
A hectic schedule of events on-tap for this week; starting in Ann Arbor with Mobile Usage Research, Bangalore does Cloud Day co-op on Weds. the 4th, the Calgary folks bounce back for their 2nd show, Dars-es-Salaam has mHealth plan and Helsinki is home at Molly Malones for Mobile Marketing. Kuala Lumpur is gathering at the skybar in GTower, London is good-to-go for Demo Night Returns and Macedonia has T-Mobile action planned. Miami does Mobile Trends from SxSW while Milwaukee runs on a Mobile Apps for Health-care focus and Paris has a very special Social Media theme.
We also note Richmond digs into the Mobile Patents scene, Riga is up for their sophomore event with great agenda planned there and Sydney does Windows 8 program, apparently something about Microsoft in the water down-under. Toronto runs their 7th annual Pitch to VC’s event, Tokyo hits the park for some Cherry Blossom action with Angry Birds! (note: that’s Thurs. 5th) and Toulouse plans m-commerce show. Whew.. that’s a grand total of 17 gigs going-on around the world for the week!
Seems April 9th is Intl No MoMo day as we don’t see any listed, maybe search WiWe instead..?!?
